On the eve of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th anniversary, a Banega Swasth India Swasthagraha the campaign was organized, to make India not just cleaner but also a tad healthier.

The event witnessed industry stalwarts like Luke Coutinho, justly presaged as the wellness warrior of the Indian health industry, Bollywood marvels like Amitabh Bachchan and Siddharth Malhotra and industry leaders like Prannoy Roy, Co-founder, and executive, Co-chairperson, NDTV, sharing the same podium to discuss the significance and precedence of health.

While the whos-who of the industry graced the event with their presence, the wellness virtuoso, Luke popularly known amongst women for his radical, simple yet effective ghar ke nuske, dadi maa ki bateein, inspired the audience to embrace holistic health to achieve a healthy mind-body balance.

Luke Coutinho made a revelation on national TV in response to a panel discussion with Dr. Prannoy Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, and Siddharth Malhotra. When asked about health and lifestyle for India Luke said, " I have discovered a new drug, it’s actually centuries old, it’s always existed but it has been lost and pushed deep within layers of complication made by man. This drug is Lifestyle, and it involves looking at the way we eat, sleep, move, think, our relationships, families, sunlight, nature and so much more. The best part is this drug is inexpensive and free, we only have to use it. We need self-discipline and an attitude of simplicity."  Luke mentioned how he and his team of doctors use Lifestyle as their main drug for their most complicated cancers across the globe.

The young tattooed, one-time raver and now Holistic Lifestyle Coach in the field of Integrative Medicine believes that the west is inspired by our country with the vast knowledge that we possess for lifestyle. He spoke about the importance of mental and emotional well-being.

If sources are to be believed, Siddharth Malhotra who is also an ardent follower of Luke’s wellness mantras, spoke about cutting down on screen time which is something that Luke has been set as goals not only for himself but also for his followers. Under Luke’s able guidance, he follows a holistic approach to train his mind and body. Looks like it is not only women who are part of Luke’s fan club, but our mesmerizing Goa boy has now been witnessing a crazy fan following even from the Bollywood heartthrobs.

Some memories of the past were revived wherein on a quest to an all-inclusive healthy lifestyle, Luke Coutinho and Shilpa Shetty Kundra launched the book, The Great Indian Diet. Inspired by Luke’s fitness mantras, Amitabh Bachchan too joined forces with them for the book launch. The event wrapped up with a discussion on the importance of holistic health.
