Recently, the Short film “Chashmish” written, directed and edited by Vivek Tripathi ‘Manas’ was screened in the third “Himachal Short Film Festival-2023” held in Manali, Himachal. The film was highly appreciated by the audience. The film was awarded “Best Experimental Screenplay Jury Award-2023”.

Actor Dev Chauhan was also present in the film festival, who has acted in famous films like Vikram Vedha, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Siya, Moh Maya Money etc. He highly praised ‘Chashmish’ for its unique approach, dialogues and music.

CHASHMISH” is an experimental Award winning Short Film, set in the serene and spiritual city of Rishikesh, India. It explores the journey of a protagonist who embarks on a profound quest in search of God. Anand, a troubled and disillusioned soul, has arrived in Rishikesh seeking solace and answers. He has heard tales of divine encounters in this sacred land and hopes to find clarity in his own spiritual path. The film Chashmish, woven in the fabric of this quest, has become a unique film in its dialogues, music and treatment.
Kabir’s song, “Haman Hai Ishq Mastana” has been woven with utmost seriousness in the film. The lead actors of the film are Deepak Nema, Dharmendra and Shiv Dev Pandey. The writing, direction and editing has been done by Vivek Tripathi alias Maanas. Vivek has already made many award winning short films, documentaries and ad films.He has written a book, “Balcony” a collection of short stories.
