Sridevi with her  daughter Jhanvi on the first day of  Dhadak shoot  in  Udaipur

Dotting mom Sridevi could not leave behind her daughter Jahnvi on her special day and hence flown to Udaipur to be with Jahnvi who is shooting for her debut film Dhadak in the city of lake.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jahnvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishan Khatter have started shooting for Dhadak, an official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The debutant who took away our breath with her ethereal beauty in the first poster of the film has reached the city of lakes, Udaipur with the cast and crew of the Shashank Khaitan directorial.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is launching the star kid in Bollywood, shared a photo of the lead actors from a picturesque locale of Udaipur and wrote, “The journey of #DHADAK begins today!! JAHNVI and ISHAAN ….

The cast and crew began filming the movie with a pooja in the morning. Earlier, the official Twitter handle of the movie shared a photo of the script of the movie and the caption written along with it hinted at the project going on the floor.

Sairat was a love story that was set against the backdrop of casteism in rural Maharshtra. The Marathi film starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar and the two were highly applauded for their performances.

Jahnvi will be facing the camera for the first time with this film and her mom went all the way to be with her.

Ishaan has already starred in Majid Majidi’s film Beyond The Clouds, and is gaining much appreciation for his work in the film. With Karan Johar backing this project, Dhadak is surely a dream debut for the newbies. Karan Johar had launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra with Student of the Year in 2012. The film is a co-production between Zee Studios and Dharma Productions and is scheduled to release on July 6, 2018.

Jahnvi is the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor and with the legacy that her mother has left behind in Indian cinema, she will have huge shoes to fill.
