Mrunal Thakur celebrates 1 year of Sita Ramam

Mrunal Thakur has undoubtedly had one of the most celebrated debuts in south cinema with her maiden film, Sita Ramam which was released exactly a year ago on this day, 5th August 2022. The film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi is the story of Ram who is an Indian soldier serving at the Kashmir border when he gets a mysterious love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi, after which Ram is on a mission to find Sita and propose his love.

The film was one of the most loved and successful films of 2022 and released in 4 languages, with Mrunal soaring as a name beloved to become one of the biggest south debuts. Within a year of the release she’s already working on two mega projects in Telugu including Hi Nanna with Nani and VD13 With Vijay Devrakonda.

Mrunal took to social media to share a heartwarming video which captures the essence of the film, a true blue larger than life love story. The video captures the many moments of the film, never before seen behind the scenes as it reflects about the happiness, joy and tears the film brings out. Sita Ramam brought back to the screen, a classic genre of larger than life romance on screen.

She wrote in her post, Dear Audience,

This was my first Telugu debut and the love you all showered me with was just beyond my wildest dreams! 💖

You accepted me as your own Telugu Ammai and thank you for making this incredible and memorable journey of love, so so special. I promise to always entertain you with a different range of characters for many many many more years (so be prepared 🤪)
