Last glimpse of Inder Kumar

Bollywood bid adieu to Inder Kumar with a heavy heart today. His last rite took place in Yari Road Shamshaan Bhoomi at 6 pm. The actor only 45  and he suffered a heart attack at his residence in Four Bungalows, Andheri West around 2 am today.

Inder Kumar has worked in more than 20 films and he was  best known for his role in films like Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, and Salman Khan starer Wanted.

Inder Kumar, born in Jaipur and raised in Kolkata, is survived by his second wife Pallavi and a daughter, named Khushi, from his first wife Sonal. Inder Kumar’s last rites were held at the Yaari Road Shamshaan Bhoomi today at 6 pm. Mr Kumar, a familiar face from both the big screen and small, was working on a new film titled Phati Paid Hai Yaar when he died.

He made his Bollywood debut in 1996 film Masoom, playing the lead opposite actress Ayesha Jhulka. He worked in more than 20 films, including Salman Khan starrer  Wanted (2009)and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge (2002),he was also seen  in Baaghi (2000), Hathyar (2002)and Gaja Gamini,(2000) directed by M F Husain and starring Madhuri Dixit. Inder Kumar last appeared in a film titled Who Is The First Wife Of My Father, which is still waiting for a release.

 

On television, Inder Kumar played the role of Mihir Virani in Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He took over the role from actor Amar Upadhyay and was later replaced by actor Ronit Roy. Inder Kumar also featured in Fear Files.

In 2014, Inder Kumar was arrested for alleged rape of a woman with whom he claimed to have had a consensual relationship. He was granted bail some months later.

These days he was shooting for his upcoming film Phati Paid Hai Yaar
