Here’s why Rajkummar Rao agreed to be part of Bareilly Ki Barfi!

Debutant director Nitesh Tiwari narrated the script of Bareilly Ki Barfi to Rajkummar Rao before Dangal release

Rajkummar was so excited and impressed with Nitesh’s narrating style about his character Pritam Vidrohi in the film that he immediately agreed to be part of Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Rajkummar informs,

It was one of the best narrations and personally I prefer reading my scripts but Nitesh sir is such an amazing actor himself and he knew his characters inside out. The moment he started reading Pritam Vidrohi, I was sold that I am doing this film. The kind of variation that Pritam has is very unique.

Rajkummar Rao, who is playing the role of Pritam Vidrohi in  “Bareilly Ki Barfi”, says the kind of variations the character has is very unique.

When the director approached him first for script narration he instantly agreed to take up the challenge:“The moment he started reading Pritam Vidrohi, I was sold that I am doing this film. The kind of variation that Pritam has is very unique,” Rajkummar said in a statement.

Rajkummar was  quite impressed with Tiwari’s narrating style.

The story of the film revolves around three persons — Chirag, Pritam and Bitti played by Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar and Kriti Sanon.

While the combination of these actors in one film has  successfully created curiosity among the audience to watch the film for sure.

Kirti Sanon who is playing against Rajkumar in Bareilly Ki Barfi” once told in her interview with a daily “the way you mount the film always create the magic”. She further added, “The film has been written by the director of Dangal (Nitesh Tiwari), directed by me, who delivered Nil Battey Sannata, produced by B.R. Pictures… Junglee Pictures studio has their name in the business. And the three actors have their fan following.

“So when these energies are coming together to create something new, magic happens (smile).” While the equation between Bitti and her mother is a very interesting element of the narration, according to the director, it is a reflection of her personal relationship with her mother.

The film is releasing on August 18.
