Sone Ki Chidiya: A Symbolic short film by young director Trinayan Sharma Distributed by Pocket Films

Chone Ki Chidiya by Trinayan Sharma

Young director Trinayan Sharma is more than happy to have Pocket Films on board for his short film Sone Ki Chidiya- a film which was made in 2019 when the director himself was going through a personal crisis. Trinayan’s father whom he considered to be his ‘role model ‘was fighting with ill health and finally left for his heavenly abode on 25th October. As a result, the film had to wait to see the day-light.

While sharing his experience the director says ” I have made the film symbolically showing the husband as the Government, wife as the Common Man and neighbour as the Rebel. The entire narrative is in voice over, it has many layers, though we show something on reel whereas it meant something else. The whole story is conveyed symbolically!

Sone Ki Chidiya is produced by popular Assamese singer Bandana Sharma and Trinayan wants to dedicate this film to his late father Khagen Sarma who was the DGP of Assam. Arif Ali, Varsha Singh, Afzal Ali, Shubham Zen portrayed pivotal characters of the short delight.

The Director also adds “after I lost my father it took some time for me to start with my normal chores. After I was back in Mumbai I sent the film to Pocket Films and they liked it and came on board. Hard-work always pays … so we should always work hard no matter what the results are and keep working hard towards the next goal !”.

The entire team is excited about the short film and looks forward to audience reaction.
