“Fame Has Never Guided Me”: Saanand Verma Opens Up About Dreams, Struggles, and Staying Grounded Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - May 13, 20250 Actor Saanand Verma, who has become a household name for his eccentric and hilarious portrayal of Anokhelal Saxena in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, believes that staying grounded is the secret to a balanced life in the entertainment industry. “Fame has never guided me,” he says with quiet conviction. “I consciously try to remain grounded. I don’t let success make me arrogant — I stay normal and simple, and because of that, I’ve never faced any problems.”Despite his success, Saanand’s heart still burns with ambition. He dreams of working with legendary filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and playing a “dangerous villain — a dark, twisted, slightly psychotic character” opposite a major superstar like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, or Allu Arjun. “That’s my dream role,” he says. “To be the main villain in a big film.”Reflecting on his creative journey, Saanand compares himself to artists like Amitabh Bachchan. “Creativity has no final destination. A truly creative person never retires,” he notes. “I don’t think I’ll ever retire either.”Saanand’s story is one of persistence and gratitude. Coming from humble beginnings and enduring long periods without work — including a 3 month dry spell before Bhabhi Ji — he now looks back at those times with a sense of fulfillment. “For the past 10 years, I haven’t had a single day without work. That’s God’s grace, my mother’s blessings, and the prayers of my fans.”However, he candidly admits that the one area where he lags is industry networking. “I don’t go to parties, I don’t socialize much. I’m a private person. Because of this, I feel I haven’t gotten the kind of high-level work I truly deserve,” he shares.Despite this, Saanand remains focused on the positive. “I feel complete as an actor. I’ve lived my true calling,” he says. And perhaps that’s what makes Saanand Verma unique — an artist fuelled not by fame, but by passion, humility, and the pure joy of performance.
