The makers have released the trailer of the year’s much-awaited romantic drama Aa Bhi Ja O Piya. The film stars Dev Sharma, who was earlier seen in films like Yaariyan, Heropanti and Muzzafarnagar and Smriti Kashyap, who marks her acting debut with the film.

The trailer was launched at an event held in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon. Present at the launch were lead actors Dev Sharma, Smriti Kashyap and Abhijit Lahiri along with producers of Johar Entertainment Umesh Rana and Shambhu Mehta.

Aa Bhi Ja O Piya is produced by Binay Mehta, Umesh Rana, Shambhu Mahto and Anand Mathur under their banner Johar Entertainment. It is distributed by Mates Entertainment and slated to release on April 16th, 2021!

Extensively shot in the unseen locations of Jharkhand by Sanjay Khanzode, the film is written by S. K. Sachin. The music is composed by Ashutosh Singh and songs are sung by Sonu Nigam, Palak Muchhal, Rahul Pandey, Deepali Sahay, Keka Ghoshal and Megha Sriram Dalton.

Talking about how he bagged the film, actor Dev Sharma shares, “Around 8-9 years back when I used to give auditions, a gentleman named Umesh Rana saw me at a mall and promised me to cast me as his lead hero whenever he will make a film. In 2018, he called me and offered me Aa Bhi Ja O Piya. The most challenging thing was to play the role of Kaushal, who is exactly the opposite of the real me. He is an educated, simple and shy man, who loves his village.”

Actress Smriti Kashyap shares, “Being from a theatre background, it was a little easy for me to understand the technical aspects but my director Rajesh Mishra sir worked really hard on me. He took Kalpana out of me so beautifully that people will love her on in the film.”
