Saurabh Prajapati choreographed Arijit Singh’s London concert, calls him a living legend

Arijit Singh performed live in front of over 60,000 fans at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September and created history as the first Indian artist to headline a UK stadium. Youngest director and choreographer Saurabh Prajapati had the opportunity to choreograph his concert, and he called it a blessing.

He said, “I feel grateful and happy that I got the opportunity to choreograph this concert and to be a part of this historic moment of Arijit Singh being the first Indian artist to headline a stadium concert in the UK. It is a dream come true.”

Calling it a proud moment for him, he shared, “From a young boy who hoisted a mini flag in my school to carrying our Indian flag with pride at Tottenham Stadium alongside an artist I deeply admire and respect is a feeling I will never be able to put in words.”

Saurabh even acknowledged and appreciated Arijit’s dedication towards his profession as well as his devotion to his fans. He said, “It’s amazing how he sings nonstop for four hours without any break. You won’t believe he doesn’t drink even a sip of water. It’s magical; he is out of this world, I would say.”

“His aura and the amount of love he gets from all over the world—I have seen it live. The kind of love and respect people hold for him he truly deserves every bit,” he added.

Talking about the choreography, he said, “In his set we tried to introduce different dance forms; we wanted to show the versatility. A big thanks to Koyal bhabhi, Arijit Da’s wife, who was fully involved and very supportive in the entire process—from choreography, costumes, props, hair, and makeup to every single thing. She is amazing.”

Saurabh shared that his team and he were getting goosebumps listening to Arijit live. He said, “My dancers and I, we all were getting goosebumps listening to him live. My team, they literally had tears; they were so overwhelmed.”

He shared that this experience was unlike anything he ever had. “I have worked with almost all the artists, but I have never felt such a way. Arijit Singh is a genius. He is so talented and blessed. He inspires me a lot, and I really look up to him. The way he works hard every single day after achieving so much and being on top, but he is pushing himself and working on his craft to become better and better. Love and respect always,” Saurabh ended.
