Na*ga ghoomna wahan mana hai: Rozlyn Khan takes a dig at Uorfi Javed on her Cannes debut comment Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - May 16, 20250 The Cannes Film Festival 2025 started in all its glory on May 13. While a lot of Indian celebrities are all set to light up the red carpet at the French Riviera, popular Internet sensation Uorfi Javed, who is known for her bold and experimental fashion sense, recently admitted that she too was supposed to attend the prestigious festival as one of the guests; however, her visa got rejected. Actress Rozlyn Khan took to her social media account to share her opinion on Uorfi’s visa rejection and said that maybe it worked in favor of Cannes. Uorfi is particularly known for her close-to-nude outfits, and Rozlyn believes that the former wouldn’t have been able to walk the red carpet because of the strict “no-nudity” dress code policy. She even mentioned Vir Das’ statement on the same and said that it just perfectly matches the situation. Taking to her stories on her Instagram handle, she wrote, “Urfi Javed recently shared that she couldn’t attend Cannes because her visa got rejected. Now, getting an invite is one thing, but a government refusing your visa is a whole different level of rejection. Waise bhi, jaa kar karti kya wahan? Cannes has a strict dress code this year—aur nanga ghoomna wahan mana hai! So maybe it all worked out in her… or Cannes’ favor.” She continued, “By the way, comedian Vir Das pulled a classic Vir Das move—poking fun at the system with a straight face and a smirk in the subtext. Taking a jab at Cannes’ new ‘no naked dress’ policy, he joked he won’t be attending anymore. Of course, he was never going in the first place—but why miss a perfectly timed punchline? After all, when high fashion meets high restrictions, who better than a comic to call out the irony in couture? #cannes #urfijaved.” For the unversed, Cannes has issued a strict dress code policy this year. As per their guideline, for decency reasons, nudity is strictly prohibited at the red carpet or any other area of the festival. Along with this, another rule that the guests must follow is to avoid voluminous outfits, especially those with long trains, as they impact the smooth flow of traffic at the red carpet and complicate seating in the theatre.
