Legendary Bollywood playback singer Kumar Sanu, through his legal counsel Advocate Sana Raees Khan, has filed a ₹50 crore defamation suit against his former wife, citing serious harm caused by allegedly defamatory statements made against him.

According to the legal filing, Kumar Sanu claims that the statements in question have caused significant damage to his reputation, goodwill, and professional standing, which he has built over decades in the Indian music industry. The suit further states that these allegations have led to mental harassment and have negatively impacted his professional opportunities and public image.

Filed on his behalf by Advocate Sana Raees Khan, the defamation suit asserts that the remarks are false, malicious, and unsubstantiated, and have resulted in both personal and professional distress for the singer.
