Fitness is more than just physical exercises; mental, emotional and spiritual fitness are equally important: Psychic and Spiritual Healer, Sharmila Cirvante

For Sharmila Cirvante, fitness is a deeply holistic practice that begins long before a workout or a meal plan. It is rooted in spiritual grounding, mental alignment, and emotional balance, forming the foundation of her physical strength and disciplined lifestyle.

Her day starts with a spiritual routine. She said, “I do a protection ritual, which includes grounding and aura protection. Being a medium, this is very important because I’m always exposed to different forces, and I don’t want anything negative affecting me or entering my aura.”

“After that, a chakra meditation helps align my chakras, which brings balance and strengthens my intuition. As I’m currently in Rahu Mahadasha, I chant the Rahu mantra at least 21 times, if not the prescribed 108 times.” She stressed that meditation and mindfulness are equally important and said, “Breathwork is very important, so I do 15 minutes of pranayama,” she added.

Sharmila’s approach to fitness is well-rounded. She said, “It’s about getting that 360-degree fitness, which extends beyond my physical body into even my mind and soul. Everyone should focus on four kinds of fitness – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness. If you align all four, you will find a difference in you because each one supports the other one. If you are physically weak, it’s obviously going to affect you emotionally. If you are spiritually weak, it’s obviously going to affect you mentally and physically.”

Her physical fitness routine focuses on strength training, cardio, core stability, and mobility. She lifts heavy weights, and it gives her a sense of balance, confidence, and control.”

She follows a well-balanced nutrition plan which does not focus only on weight loss. “I avoid junk food, but I do have my share of cheat days. I take a lot of nutraceuticals to help digestion and vitamins and minerals intake. I don’t believe in the conventional thinking of cutting carbs, increasing protein, or eating only soups and salads.”

Highlighting the importance of mindful eating, she said, “Portion control is important and also what you eat, when you eat, and how you eat it. Everyone’s body is different so consult a qualified nutritionist, get your blood work done, and take into consideration any allergies or medical conditions, rather than following a fad diet.”

Sharmila mostly indulges in home-cooked meals. She said, “Once in a while, I eat outside, but otherwise my food is a simple mix of protein, carbs, and healthy fats. Fortunately, I don’t have a sweet tooth but don’t stop myself if I feel like dessert because 80% of the time, I am quite balanced with my food.”

How does she maintain energy levels during busy days? “With breaks. I just switch off and do something else. Maybe munch on a few nuts and dry fruits for energy or a protein shake. Breathwork also helps you know, just going inward, focusing, concentrating, and breathing deeply.”

Speaking about skincare and wellness, she said, “Good eating habits, lots of sleep and hydration are my secrets. I am blessed with good skin from my mom’s side of the family. I prefer using local Ayurvedic products and they seem to work well for me.”

She concluded with a powerful message: “We underestimate the value of our health and take it for granted. A healthy lifestyle is very important because it has to support our body, our life health. Get some form of exercise every day. Watch what you eat. Your health is the only thing you truly own. Working 12-14 hours a day won’t get you anywhere. Eventually, you are the only one who pays the price.”
