First Song Of Upcoming Odia Movie T Released On The Occasion Of Savitri Puja

The first song of Odia movie T was released on Friday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Savitri Puja. The song Jalsa was released at a special function at Utkal Galleria mall. The song is sung by Gaurav Anand, music given by Tuhin K Biswas and written by Ranjan Kumar Das.

The song showcases special rituals of transgender community of welcoming someone in their community which not many people get the chance to see. The director Jitesh Kumar Parida tried to showcase the life of transgender through this song.

Earlier, the trailer of the film T was released at a special event in Cinepolis, Esplanade mall Bhubaneswar in the presence of cast and makers. After a long wait, the film has finally bagged UA certification from the Censor Board with minimal cuts, paving the way for its much-awaited release. The film will hit the screens on May 25 2023.

Directed by Jitesh Kumar Parida, the film is based on the real-life struggles and triumphs of Meghna Sahoo, India’s first transgender cab driver.
The film delves deep into the challenges faced by transgender individuals in our society, and how Meghna overcame all obstacles to emerge as a shining example of courage and determination. The story of T is not just about one person, but about an entire community that has been marginalized for far too long.

Speaking about the film, Jitesh Kumar Parida said, “T is a very special film for us, and we are thrilled that it has received the UA certificate from the Censor Board. We have worked very hard to bring the real-life transgender story to the big screen, and we hope that the film will help create greater awareness about the challenges faced by the transgender community.

The film, which stars Debasish Sahu (Dev), Usashi Misra, Hara Rath, Ranbeeir Kalsi, and Prasanjit Mohapatra, has been produced by Jitesh Kumar Films & RR Motion Pictures (UK) Ltd and co-produced by Vighnaharta Movies, Mohit Kumar Puri & Himadri Tanaya Das, with Thamrita Mohan Sambhuti, Soma Kiran Jena, and Rajashree Mohapatra serving as associate producers.
