Breaking News: Sabbir Khan to direct Salman Khan in Dabangg 3

Breaking News : Sabbir Khan to direct Salman Khan in Dabangg 3 and the director promises to present Chulbul Pandey in most entertaining manner.

Dabangg, the blockbuster film of Salman Khan’s career is again back on news. First it created a wave when Arbaaz Khan stepped out as Director and Khan brothers were looking for Directors to take forward the film. Later the speculation was around Prabhu Deva who was expected to direct the  third installment of Dabangg. Finally the air is cleared now and its Sabbir Khan who is going to wear the director’s hat for Dabangg 3.

The first film, which came on live in 2010, was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and made the cop, Chulbul Pandey, a household name. Dabangg bagged the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and six Filmfare Awards. Two years later, producer Arbaaz Khan took over as director. However, Arbaaz announced in 2016 that he will only be producing Part 3.

However, Sabbir began his journey as an assistant to director David Dhawan, working on two Salman Khan starrer films – ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ (2014) and ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ (2015). Though Sabbir  his directorial debut with ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ in 2009 itself,but he took a break of years to return with  re Heropanti (2014). ‘Heropanti’ launched Tiger Shroff and the duo followed it up with ‘Baaghi’ and completed a hat-trick with  upcoming film ‘Munna Michael’. Sabbir is developing three-four scripts at the moment and mentoring a bunch of writer.

Ever since the announcement of Dabangg 3, Bollywood is flooded with rumours that the film will be a prequel – a story about how Chulbul Pandey became Robinhood of his area. But Salman in an interview to DNA revealed that there is a twist to this plot. “The story starts with Dabangg 3 in the present and then it goes back to the past, and then comes back to the present day again. It will have a prequel portion, but only as a flashback,” said the 51-year-old actor.

“So it’s Chulbul Pandey now and then – what has gone on in his life before part one and two. The flashback will show how Chulbul Pandey actually became Chulbul Pandey. The remaining part will be about what he’s up to now,” he added.

Diretor Sabbir Khan is quite excited for the film and he promised to present Chulbul Pandey in most entertaining manner.

Currently Salman is busy shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai in Morocco, and here it goes:
