Veteran actor Susheel Parasher, who has graced Indian television with decades of impactful performances, is currently winning hearts as Dadu in Rajan Shahi’s long-running show *Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai*. Known for his calm screen presence and insightful portrayals, the actor brings depth and quiet strength to his latest role.

Talking about his character, Susheel Parasher shares, *“Dadu — my character. Though this man is quite aged, he is very well-versed in human psychology. He knows how to mingle with the younger generation. He is a positive person and carries plenty of experience with him.”*

While he prefers not to reveal too much about the ongoing storyline, Parasher hints at Dadu’s influence in a key emotional arc. *“I really can’t comment about the track as it depends on the writer. But in the current situation, Dadu knows that the happiness quotient would increase if Gitanjali and Armaan get married. And Maira would also receive her motherly love forever.”*

Despite his years in the industry, Susheel still approaches every role with freshness. *“When I was offered the role, I was quite excited. But I don’t take pressure. I focus only on the scene and the performance — everything else automatically unfolds.”* He adds, *“It’s like how they say: better to concentrate and focus on your batting, not on the score.”*

A true professional, Parasher also acknowledges the responsibility that comes with being a part of a big show, whether or not the role is dialogue-heavy. *“Everyone has his or her own nature, and with my kind of nature, normally the TRPs increase,”* he says with a smile. *“God has been gracious to me, and I think the fans will also be gracious towards my character, towards the project, and love the new track.”*
