Wolf Supermoon on January 3: Astrologer Rinhee Suberwal Explains Its Significance and Do’s and Don’ts

The first full moon of the year, popularly known as the Wolf Supermoon, will illuminate the night sky on January 3, carrying deep astrological and emotional significance. Astrologer and tarot card reader Rinhee Suberwal shares insights into why this celestial event is considered powerful and how one can align with its energy.

Explaining the term, Rinhee says the Wolf Moon gets its name from ancient times when harsh winter nights were often filled with the howling of wolves. “The Wolf Moon symbolises survival, inner strength, and heightened instincts. As a supermoon, when the Moon appears closer to the Earth, its impact on our emotions and subconscious becomes even stronger,” she explains.

According to Rinhee, the January Wolf Supermoon holds special importance because it is the first full moon of the year. “The first full moon sets the emotional and energetic tone for the months ahead. It acts as a mirror, helping us reflect on our intentions, patterns, and unresolved emotions. This is a time when clarity can emerge if we are willing to look within,” she says.

She adds that the Moon governs our emotional body, and during a full moon, feelings tend to intensify. “You may notice heightened sensitivity, vivid dreams, or sudden realisations. The effects of a full moon are not limited to just one day; they can be felt nearly seven days before and after, influencing mental and emotional balance,” Rinhee notes.

Sharing simple do’s for the day, Rinhee suggests spending time in introspection. “Meditation, journaling, and expressing gratitude are highly beneficial. It is also a good day to release emotional baggage, forgive, and let go of what no longer serves you,” she advises. Charging crystals, practising mindfulness, and setting clear intentions for the year ahead can also help harness the supermoon’s energy.

When it comes to don’ts, Rinhee cautions against impulsive decisions and emotional confrontations. “Avoid unnecessary arguments, reacting in anger, or overthinking. The Moon can amplify emotions, so grounding yourself is important,” she says. She also recommends limiting negativity, late-night overexertion, and excessive screen time, as these can disturb emotional equilibrium.

Concluding her thoughts, Rinhee Suberwal says the Wolf Supermoon is not something to fear but to understand. “If approached consciously, this powerful lunar phase can help you reconnect with your inner self, gain emotional clarity, and begin the year with balance and awareness,” she signs off.
