Ishita Dixit, who plays Pari in  Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi’s show Anupamaa, has been winning appreciation for her natural performance and emotional depth. Over time, the role has become much more than just another character for the young actress—it has turned into a journey of self-growth and inner change.

Sharing how closely she now relates to Pari, Ishita reveals that the line between her real personality and her on-screen character has slowly faded. “For some time now, I have been feeling that there is not much difference between Ishita and Pari,” she says honestly. “I used to be a party animal earlier, but now, like Pari, who is calm and sober, I feel I’ve turned into her. Our personalities have blurred out.”

The actress admits that portraying Pari has influenced her lifestyle and mindset in ways she never imagined. Playing a grounded and emotionally balanced character has helped her become more mature and calm in real life too. What started as acting has quietly shaped her as a person.

With a strong theatre background, Ishita feels television has played a huge role in her growth as an actor. “Working on the show, I have been growing as an actor. Performing on television is a unique experience,” she shares. The daily discipline and emotional consistency required on TV have helped her sharpen her craft.

She also credits her senior co-actors for her learning curve, especially Rupali Ganguly. “I have learned a lot from senior actors. Rupali Ma’am always tells me that I am a very good actor, and she loves me for that,” Ishita says with gratitude. “I discuss scenes with her, and she guides me on how to make them better. Being appreciated by such experienced artists means everything to me.”

Beyond work, Ishita feels deeply connected to the people on set. “Personally, I feel I have learned a lot. The show has become a part of my life. Rupali Ma’am is very close to me,” she adds, describing the warmth and emotional bond she shares with the team.
