Sheena Chohan, who recently debuted in the Hindi film Sant Tukaram and gained fame for her portrayal of Jasmin Lobo in The Trial Season 1, has recently lauded her co-star Kajol for her outstanding performance in Season 2 of the series. The actress says watching Kajol reprise her role took her down memory lane and reminded her of the invaluable learning she gained from working alongside the superstar.

On her role, Sheena said, “To bring Jasmin Lobo to life, I spent time in Christian churches and met a girl from Bandra to understand her world — a small but powerful step in truly embodying her character. It was fun discovering her“

Speaking about Kajol’s performance, Sheena said, “Kajol has completely nailed the character in Season 2—there’s nobody else who could have brought such depth and intensity to the role. While she looks so serious on-screen, what many don’t know is that she is actually a very funny and warm person at heart. Shooting with her was always fun, but also a masterclass in itself. Her graph as an actor, her pace, and her dialogue delivery—it teaches you so much personally as a co-actor. Watching her again in Season 2 reminded me of how much I was inspired by her presence and craft.”

The actress also revealed that Kajol’s spontaneity left a lasting impression on her: “Kajol never repeated the same emotion twice—every take was new, fresh, and organic.
