Several Mumbaikars participated in self-awareness and awakening happening that was held in the city on December 22, titled Presence Day, the full-day session started at 10 am and went on till the evening.
The event largely included several activities for self-knowing and self-mastery, besides a question and answer session, wherein the participants sought responses for their questions from spiritual guru Maharishikaa Preeti. Addressing the attendees she said, “It’s incumbent on each one of you to invest time, energy and resources in knowing yourself. Its the crucial missing piece in education in the sub-continent”
City-based financial consultant Kavita Bhambani says that the session was like a reminder that the answers don’t lie outside, they lie within us. “As a society, we want to spend money on movies, dates, and going out on a holiday. But I think it’s important to give ourselves an experience like this. Spiritual teacher Maharishikaa Preeti really helped me.”
Another attendee Harish Kalra said the session was an eye-opener for him. “It felt like I was sleeping for the last 40 years,” he says.
Priyanka Nalavade, who is into revenue management, says, “I loved Maharishikaa Preeti’s symbol, the Mirror talisman. With its six concentric circles, each representing a realm of consciousness, and the mirror in the center representing self-reflection, the microcosmos, and the macro cosmos. It had a strong impact on me.”
