One of the most awaited movie , namely Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, has been selected at the Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival
and will have its world premiere there in February 2022.

The film is based on the book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai” written by S.Hussain Zaidi and Jane Borges, and celebrates the rise of an innocent girl from Kathiawad, Gujarat, who becomes the Queen of #Kamathipura, ruling Mumbai’s red light district.

This is Alia Bhatt’s third film at the #Berlinale, after Imtiaz Ali’s #Highway (2014) and Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh (2019). The film is in the Berlinale Special Gala section, a press release said. In the same section is a film starring Isabelle Huppert, About Joan, directed Laurent Lariviere. #GangubaiKathiawadi is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Prerna Singh is CEO, Bhansali Productions) and Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Movies, with music on Saregama.
