Riddhima Sharma opens up on her styling journey Featured Gossips by Akanksha - May 12, 20250 We often find inspiration all around us, and in the case of actress-cum-celebrity stylist Riddhima Sharma’s case, it was the Netflix show Masaba Masaba that sparked her creative journey. The stylist, who has worked with Manara Chopra, Riya Sen, Falaq Naaz, Pooja Chopra, and Sanjay Gagnani, credits the show for motivating her to pursue formal training in styling and take the leap into the world of fashion.“I started my clothing brand after being inspired by the Masaba Masaba series. A year later, I discovered Tanya Ghavri’s online designer classes and joined them. Initially, I knew little about styling, but I completed the sessions in just two days. A hoodie design contest followed, where I created an Indian-inspired hoodie with dhoti pants — a unique fusion. To my surprise, I won 3rd prize! This boosted my confidence, and I went on to join FAD College in Mumbai, where I completed my course,” she recalls.Ask her what she loves most about styling, and Riddhima says, “The best part of styling is creating something unique and royal, yet simple. Growing up as a Marwari Rajasthani girl, I was inspired by elegant traditional attire like lehengas and Bandhej sarees. I love mixing and matching colors, which makes styling a creative process. While working with clients with different tastes can be challenging, I thrive on the opportunity to rise to the occasion.”Speaking about her experience styling celebrities, she shares, “Falaq Naaz Di has a fondness for Indian outfits with a twist. She looks stunning in traditional attire, and I think adding subtle touches can elevate her look to royal elegance. On the other hand, Pooja Chopra Di rocks casual yet classy outfits, exuding a cute and stylish vibe.”Riddhima has also worked on music albums and personal styling projects. “Music albums and personal styling may seem like different worlds, but as a stylist, I find it easier to create looks that fit the event theme. Being a music enthusiast, I’ve had the opportunity to work on two music albums and style myself for them,” she adds.Among her most recent projects, Riddhima styled cricketer Vaibhav Arora of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for his sister’s wedding. “He is not only playing incredibly well on the field but also looked dashing for his sister’s big day. Styling him was a joy — it combined tradition with a sporty charm,” she shares.
