Reflet Arrives in Mumbai: A Roller-Skating, Hip-Hop, Visual Poetry Performance All Set to Dazzle the Megapolis Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - December 3, 20250 Presented by the French Institute in India and the Alliance Française network, it opens in Mumbai on December 4 at The Royal Opera HouseReflet — a genre-breaking performance that fuses hip-hop, contemporary movement, meditative balance, roller skating and immersive visual poetry — is set to make its Mumbai debut on December 4 at The Royal Opera House after captivating audiences in Kochi and Jaipur. Created by French choreographer and artistic director Xuan Le and performed with dancer-choreographer Shih-ya Peng, Reflet invites audiences into a hypnotic universe of fluid motion and emotional storytelling. Every glide and shift in balance becomes part of a living poem — amplified by an evocative electronic score composed by Jules Evrard.Xuan Le, who performs alongside choreographer and dancer Shih-ya Peng, says, “Reflet’s tour in India is a wonderful opportunity for us to share our artistic language with new audiences. My team and I are excited for the performances, and to meet participants during the workshops, in order to exchange, move, and create together.”The performance will segue into a multi-city tour presented by Alliance Française Network and The French Institute in India. The tour — which started on the 27th of November, will run till 16th December 2025. The Mumbai performance is co-presented and produced by Aaron Fernandes Entertainment (AFE), long-time collaborators in bringing global contemporary work to India. There’s no better stage for this than Mumbai says and excited Aaron Fernandes, “a city where art evolves faster than the skyline. From underground hip-hop crews to experimental theatre and bold immersive art, Mumbai thrives on creativity that refuses boundaries. Reflet taps directly into that heartbeat, offering audiences a new way to experience performance: intimate, cinematic, and unafraid to push edges”.He also praises the evocative electronic score by Jules Evrard that comes alive with every breath and current of energy exuded by the dancers. Having also worked as a producer on the Pixel tour in India in 2023, Mourad Merzouki’s groundbreaking creation where Xuan Le appeared as one of the performers, Aaron is thrilled to again contribute to Xuan Le’s latest offering. He is equally excited that the French Institute in India – the educational, scientific, and cultural arm of the Embassy of France in India and The Alliance Française network, a cornerstone of Indo-French dialogue and artistic exchange, will continue to enthrall and mesmerise Indian audiences with similar artistic experiences in the future too.Schedule: Mumbai: December 4 | The Royal Opera House | 7:30 pmMore info at: https://in.bookmyshow.com/events/reflet/ET00468904 Share this: Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Like this:Like Loading...
