The Me•Gong Festival 2025 recorded an unprecedented turnout with over 55,000 attendees, marking its highest participation yet and further establishing Meghalaya as one of Northeast India’s premier cultural and music destinations.

A Global Line-Up Meets Local Brilliance

This year’s two-day festival featured an impressive roster of global and national artists, including Blue, Yellow Claw, Prateek Kuhad, Kanika Kapoor, Richard Marx, Julian Marley, and Nucleya. Their performances brought international energy to the heart of Garo Hills, creating a vibrant fusion of global soundscapes and local creativity.

On Day 2, the Aski Stage transformed into a dynamic powerhouse of live music, drawing massive crowds. Meanwhile, homegrown talents such as Hoi Hoi Makbil, G-Hills Finest, and Nokpante captivated audiences at the Kingfisher Stage, showcasing the region’s rising musical excellence.

A Festival Beyond Music: Culture, Craft, and Community

In addition to music, Me•Gong Festival 2025 offered a rich cultural experience. The event featured:

  • Local craft and artisan markets
  • The Brew Village, highlighting regional brews and culinary flavours
  • Cosplay contests blending youth creativity with festival flair

With Bolbokgre–Watregre at its centre, the festival transformed the region into a lively, immersive celebration of culture, community, and creativity.
