Jaanvee Prabhu Arora on composing the title track for the podcast The Vedas Speak Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - July 14, 2025July 14, 20250 Singer Jaanvee Prabhu Arora has crooned the title track for the podcast The Vedas Speak. She has previously composed a Sai Bhajan, recomposed the Hanuman Chalisa, Gayatri Mantra, Mahamrityunjay Jaap, etc., and shared that it gives her divine peace composing spiritual music.Talking about the title track, Om Krishnaay Vasudevaay, for The Vedas Speak, she said, “The creator of the show, Dr. Sammeer Arora, is my husband, and I have seen his spiritual journey all these years and his urge to create something unique in the space of spirituality, so the concept was already ingrained within me. So when Paparazzi Entertainment approached me with this project, I was elated. In fact, the shlok that I composed for the title Om Krishnaay Vasudevaay, I had been listening to and chanting since my childhood, so composing it myself and singing it was like a divine gift for me.”For her, it was an exhilarating and humbling feeling to work on this special project and contribute towards its larger goal. She added, “The show is about bringing lost traditions and concepts to the fore. The wisdom of ancient Vedic scriptures is very relevant today, and if embraced, it can be a true game changer and can bring peace to the world. The approach of the entire show is very different from the usual ones. Hence the approach to creating the title track was also different.”Asked how she incorporated the beads in her musical composition, she said, “Amongst the four Vedas, Saamveda is the Veda of Music; all music artists across the world activate the Saamveda whenever they perform. As we all know, music has transcended all the Yugas, and the musical ragas are timeless too. When the opportunity came to compose and sing for The Vedas Speak, I immediately started figuring out which of the ragas could bring out the essence of the show in the most beautiful way. I chose Raag Yaman Kalyan as the base and went with the flow.”Jaanvee is overwhelmed with the response she has been getting for the song. She said, “If you listen to the track carefully, you will realize that I have fused the traditional flute, which signifies Lord Krishna, along with a Western rhythm and yet tried to maintain the purity and divinity of the shlok. I kept my vocals simple, lucid, and from my heart. While singing, I surrendered myself to the energy of Lord Krishna.”She has been singing for Marathi films for the past 18 years now and has received the Maharashtra State Award, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the Mirchi Music Award, and the Zee Marathi Award, among many others, over the years. She shared that singing for a commercial film or a television title song is different from a spiritual song.“When singing for film or TV, I have to sing according to the character graph and the story requirement; I have to follow the music director and the director of the film and then perform, but spiritual music is completely different and, in a way, a little difficult too because it needs complete surrender to the almighty. For this title track, I feel Krishna showed me the path, and I held his hand throughout the process,” Jaanvee ended.
