Suraj Foundation proudly announced the overwhelming success of its cultural tribute, “Ganga Behti Ho Kyun”, held on Sunday at the prestigious Tata Theatre, NCPA. The event marked a monumental beginning to the centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, bringing alive his timeless message of unity through music.
The evening witnessed soul-stirring performances by an illustrious lineup of artists, including Usha Mangeshkar ji, Anup Jalota ji, Suresh Wadkar ji, Zubeen Garg, and Mayukh Hazarika. The event was eloquently anchored by veteran broadcaster Harish Bhimani, who seamlessly wove together the performances with anecdotes and reflections on Dr. Hazarika’s legacy.
The visionary curation and direction of the event by violinist and cultural leader Sunita Bhuyan played a pivotal role in shaping the grandeur and emotional resonance of the evening. Suraj Foundation also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prasenjit Bhattacharya and the Great Manager Institute, the presenting partner, for their invaluable support in bringing this vision to life.
