Ajinkya Jadhav’s Paparazzi Music has released a new song under their banner. Titled Chaahta Hoon, the song will take you back to good old ghazal days; however, this one has more of a social and emotional angle. Composed by Prakhar Pandey, with lyrics by Bhimsen Singh Ujjwal, the song is all about building a life together with the ones you have lost and also the society.

The song begins with a man thinking about his love and hoping to build a new home with her. The same man then goes back to childhood, where his mother was his everything, and he wants to build a home for her. He then thinks of how his father treated him like a prince, and he wishes to build a home for him. He also thinks of his grandmother and how he used to be lost in her stories, and he wants to build a home for her. Not just his family, he is devastated with the visuals of people sleeping on the footpath, and he wants to build a home for them.

Here, “home” doesn’t mean the one with brick and mortar, but a life of love and hope for everyone.

Chaahta Hoon leaves you with a big question: whether we are actually living a life or just surviving. Whether we are actually leaving an impact or just passing our time, because time doesn’t come back, once you have lost it, you are only left with regret and tears.
