After winning hearts with her powerful performance in the hit series The Royals, Indian American singer and actor Lisa Mishra is now all set to serenade fans once again—this time with a soulful new music single, a love ballad that promises to capture the timeless feeling of romance.

Known for her unforgettable voice and emotionally resonant songs, Lisa has previously delivered massive hits like Tareefan (Veere Di Wedding), Aa Mil with Zaeden, and Sajna Ve with Vishal Mishra, among many others. Her upcoming single, which is co-composed and sung by Lisa Mishra herself, released today across platforms.

After her appearance in Royals, Lisa felt inspired to write a song that encapsulated the tenderness of romance between two queer women. Teri Hoon is written from the perspective of one woman to another, with its evocative lyrics capturing the essence of what it is to love and be loved by a woman. The video is intentionally ambiguous, featuring contemporary dancer Isha Sawant portraying a potential lover, or perhaps even the singer’s own vulnerability while in love.

Lisa finds that people all fall in love the same way, and playing the character of Niki in Royals allowed her to experience the profoundness of love in a completely new light. The track and video finds a fitting release during the first week of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community internationally in June.

She earlier revealed the song title “Teri Hoon,” and it has already generated anticipation across social platforms and within music circles. For this track, Lisa collaborates with Call Me Bae DOP Anuj Samtani, bringing their creative synergy into the music space.

Sharing her excitement, Lisa Mishra said, “This song is very close to my heart. After spending the past few months in the world of The Royals—a show that allowed me to grow as an actor—it felt like the perfect time to return to music, which has always been my first love. This track is an ode to the kind of love that is powerful, deep, and everlasting.” She felt that audiences have long been missing a pure romantic ballad composed with real instruments and she hopes to bring back this nostalgic sound.
