“Bollywood Circus Is Not for Them” | Madhuri Dixit on Why Her Sons Chose Life Beyond Films

Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit has shared a refreshingly honest glimpse into her personal life, revealing that her sons have consciously chosen careers far removed from the glamour and chaos of the film industry.

In a recent interview, Madhuri spoke about her younger son, Ryan Nene, saying he has absolutely no interest in what she candidly described as the “Bollywood circus.” Instead, Ryan is deeply inclined towards science and STEM-related fields, preferring logic, learning, and innovation over lights and cameras.

She also spoke proudly about her elder son, Arin Nene, who has recently graduated and is now working with Apple. Arin is reportedly involved in projects related to noise-cancellation technology. While he once showed a mild curiosity about films, Madhuri explained that his true passions lie in music and computer science—an interdisciplinary path he pursued academically.

Reflecting on her life choices after marrying Dr. Sriram Nene, Madhuri said moving to the United States allowed her to embrace a quieter, more grounded life. Away from constant public attention, she enjoyed doing everyday tasks herself, raising her children with normalcy, and cherishing simple family moments—experiences that fame in India rarely allowed.

On the professional front, Madhuri is set to return to the screen with her upcoming web series Mrs. Deshpande on JioHotstar, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. She also has another project, Maa-Behen, currently in the pipeline.

From global superstardom to choosing a life of balance and privacy for her family, Madhuri Dixit’s journey is a reminder that success isn’t defined by legacy alone—but by the freedom to choose one’s own path.
