Arjun Bijlani highlighted a simple message — respect, planning and professionalism can make the work environment better for everyone Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - February 14, 20260 Actor Arjun Bijlani, who is currently seen in Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment, has spoken honestly about two issues that continue to trouble actors — delayed payments and being made to wait for long hours on set without reason.Arjun shared that one of the most frustrating things for any actor is being called to the set and then sitting idle for hours. According to him, if an actor isn’t required for a scene immediately, they should be called closer to their shot time — maybe an hour or an hour and a half before. “There is no point in making someone sit the whole day if they are not needed,” he implied, stressing that time is important for everyone. He believes that when actors feel respected, they automatically give their best. Many are willing to stretch their hours if there is genuine need. But the problem begins when someone reports in the morning and gets their shot only in the evening. After completing a 12-hour shift, it becomes difficult to stay back for a small remaining scene. He feels better planning can avoid such situations and reduce tension on set.Arjun also addressed the issue of delayed payments. He pointed out that actors too have responsibilities and families to support. Payment cycles often run on credit, and delays only add to the stress. He suggested that contracts should clearly mention penalties if payments are not made on time, so there is accountability on both sides. At the same time, Arjun made it clear that not all producers function this way. He appreciated production houses that maintain discipline and clear payments on schedule. He especially mentioned Studio LSD and producer Prateek Sharma, with whom he worked on Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyay-Shiv Shakti, saying his experience there was smooth and payments were always on time.Through his words, Arjun highlighted a simple message — respect, planning and professionalism can make the work environment better for everyone.
