The program, organized by the Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim, is a reflection to the vision of our Honourable Chief Minister towards sustainable forestry.

The event was also attended by OSD to HCM Shri Karma Subba, Honourable Zilla Panchayat Shri Yapchung Bhutia, Honorable Panchayat President Shri MB Chettri, Honourable Panchayat members, ADC Ravangla Shri DP Dahal, SDPO Shri Roshan Rai, DFO Namchi, ACFs, RO, BOs, other officials and local attendees.

The Nagar Van Social Forestry initiative aims to promote sustainable forestry practices, conserve biodiversity, and enhance the ecological balance in the region. The program is expected to benefit the local community and contribute to the state’s environmental conservation efforts.

The attendees emphasized the importance of collective efforts in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.
