During the meeting, Chairperson Smt. Pooja Sharma apprised the Secretary about the developmental activities being carried out by the Board and also informed the Sikkim Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri. Prem Singh Tamang proposes to set up Eco Heritage Film Village at Yangang, South Sikkim which would be the first Film Village in the entire North East Region. She also submitted a proposal to the Secretary for developing Film, Fashion, Lifestyle and Entertainment Industry in Sikkim.

Secretary Shri. Rajesh Agarwal was all praise for Sikkim and suggested that entrepreneurship in the entire region would boost not just the film sector but the fashion industry as well. This would ensure that the talented youth from the region get the necessary platform and be self-reliant. He also assured to help in setting up the Fashion Industry in Sikkim in alliance with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and extended all possible support from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
