Tarot Expert Rinhee Suberwal Shares Spiritual Tips for Bhai Dooj

Renowned tarot card reader, numerologist, and crystal healer Rinhee Suberwal shares her spiritual guidance for celebrating Bhai Dooj, a festival that honors the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Celebrated after Diwali, Bhai Dooj symbolizes love, protection, and blessings shared between siblings. According to Rinhee, observing the festival with the right rituals and mindful choices can bring peace, prosperity, and harmony in one’s life.

Speaking about the significance of the day, Rinhee says, “On Bhai Dooj, sisters must call their brothers home and welcome them with love. The aarti ritual is extremely powerful — it removes negative energies and strengthens the protective aura between the siblings. Feeding the brother a sweet paan after performing the aarti ensures sweetness in the relationship and good luck for both.”

Rinhee also emphasizes the importance of color and symbolism during the festival. “I would advise sisters to tie a green or yellow raksha dhaga on their brother’s wrist. Green brings growth, positivity, and good health, while yellow represents wisdom, joy, and blessings. These colors attract abundance and divine protection,” she explains.

She further adds that the tilak ritual also holds deep meaning. “The tilak should ideally be made from sandalwood or turmeric paste — both are sacred and bring calming energy. It’s also believed that this act invokes divine grace and removes any ill influence from the brother’s path,” Rinhee says.

Rinhee also gives thoughtful advice about gifts and food choices for the day. “On Bhai Dooj, one must eat satvik bhojan— pure, vegetarian food prepared with devotion. Avoid consuming onions, garlic, or anything heavy or spicy, as this is a day meant for purity and peace,” she suggests.

When it comes to gifting, Rinhee recommends avoiding certain colors and items. “Brothers should not give gifts in blue, black, or red colors, as these shades can attract arguments or negativity. Also, avoid gifting electronic gadgets on this day — they may disturb the natural energy balance. The best and most auspicious gift is cash, as it represents Lakshmi’s blessings and prosperity,” she advises.

Concluding her message, Rinhee shares, “Bhai Dooj is not just a ritual, it’s an exchange of energies between siblings. The day should be spent with honesty and affection — brothers must not hide or lie about anything to their sisters. When celebrated with purity and truth, Bhai Dooj brings lifelong harmony and divine protection to both.”
