Sakshi Sindwani’s first look from Grammy Weekend is officially out. The Indian fashion creator is currently in Los Angeles to attend the Grammy Awards, marking a historic moment as the first Indian creator from India to attend the Grammys. Her presence signals a significant milestone for India’s growing creator economy on a global stage.
Kicking off the celebrations, Sakshi attended an exclusive Sabrina Carpenter–themed event in Los Angeles, stepping out in a striking ensemble by Papa Don’t Preach. The look delivered a bold pop-princess moment while setting the tone for her Grammy Weekend appearances.

The statement top was crafted using ultra-fine glass beads, each smaller than a millimetre, meticulously threaded by hand to form individual tassel lines. Nearly a hundred of these delicate strands came together to create a fluid, draped effect across the bodice, allowing the piece to move sensually with the body. The glass-beaded tassels extended to the back, while the shoulder strap featured hand-embroidered three-dimensional metallic elements, adding sculptural depth and couture-level detail.

The skirt was cut from a jacquard fabric printed with an original, hand-illustrated artwork featuring pomegranates and grapes. Subtle yet rich, the motifs infused the fabric with wine, plum, and deep red undertones the very palette that inspired the ensemble. Together, the look evoked fleeting moments steeped in wine: indulgent, layered, and quietly intoxicating.

Designed by Shubhika Sharma, the ensemble reflected Papa Don’t Preach’s signature maximalism and continued commitment to inclusivity and representation. Sakshi completed the look with a chic Miu Miu bag and statement jewellery by Karishma Joolry, effortlessly blending global luxury with contemporary Indian design. Confident and expressive, the appearance stood out as one of the most memorable fashion moments from the Grammy Weekend celebrations.
