Producer Sangeeta Ahir Ventures Into The South Film Industry With Ambitious Telugu Feature Film ‘Spy’

With the announcement of her first Telugu language feature film ‘Spy’, prolific film producer Sangeeta Ahir has now ventured into the south film market. Suspense-thriller film ‘Spy’ is about to be released towards the end of next month.

Sangeeta Ahir and her film production company ‘Mangalmurti Films Private Limited’ today announced that through their Telugu film ‘Spy’ the production house is all set to venture into the south film industry.

The film which is now complete, is slated to release on 29th June 2023 and along with Telegu, will also be released in the Hindi Language for the Northern audience.

Producer Sangeeta Ahir who has successfully delivered hits like Golmaal Returns, ‘Total Dhamaal’ and ‘Dagadi Chawl’ is extremely thrilled about her Tollywood debut.

Superhit movie ‘Kartikeya’ and ‘Kartikeya 2’ star Nikhil Siddhartha will be seen in a lead role in the movie. For the uninitiated, Spy is a suspense-thriller film and also has been jointly produced by K. Rajashekhar Reddy and Kalapi Nagada of Cinekorn Entertainment. Garry BH has directed the movie and the story has been penned down by K. Rajashekhar Reddy.

As a producer of her first Telugu feature film ‘Spy’ Sangeeta Ahir is eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
She termed ‘Spy’ as another feather in her cap and considers it to be an important milestone in her film career.

Talking about her excitement, Sangeeta said, “Over the last one and half decades I have produced many Hindi and Marathi films which were not only different in their subjects but also quite talked about and were well received by the audiences. For quite some time now our company was thinking of venturing into the southern market and hence we were looking forward to associating with the ‘Spy’ movie.

Talking about the growing influence of south-based films in the Hindi market, Sangeeta Ahir said, “Audiences always have appreciated good stories and liked good films. This is an era of Pan-India films and now language is no barrier for viewers. Nothing is superior to the content itself. ‘Spy’ is originally made in Telugu but it will also be released in Hindi. I am pretty sure that audiences all over India are going to like suspense-thriller films.

Sangeeta Ahir further said that ‘Spy’ is just the beginning and her company is now looking to further expand their base in other southern film industries as well.
