Actor-director-producer Prakash Jha’s next Matto Ki Siakal (Matto’s Bicycle) to have a world premiere in Busan International Film Festival on October 23rd, 2020. The film narrates the story of Matto Pal from a village near Mathura, who is a daily wage construction labourer and how his life is synonymous to his twenty-year-old bicycle.

It tells how he and his family negotiate with the simple pleasures of life. Will their lives change when finally, Matto realises his dream of buying a new bicycle!?

The film stars Prakash Jha, Anita Choudhary, Aarohi Sharma, Idhika Roy, Dimpy Mishra, CP Sharma and Aryan Madar. It is produced by Sudhirbhai Mishra under his banner of Shivdeva Films and presented by Prakash Jha Productions.

With 25 years of experience in theatre direction, M. Gani has worked as a director of Photography in several documentary films. He has also directed several issue based documentary films. This feature film marks his debut as a feature film Director.

He says, “I would often be amazed by the glaring advertisements of shiny expensive Luxury cars on TV and billboards on the highway and on the other side of the road I see Matto, a simple labourer struggling to buy a new bicycle just so he could get to his workplace on time! He lives his life dreaming that things will change. This is what compels me to tell the story of Matto… A story of Hope.”
