Kavitta Verma: “Luxury is nice, but the most precious gifts come from the heart”

Actress and poet Kavitta Verma, who was last seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s Kaala on Disney+ Hotstar, continues to charm audiences not only with her on-screen presence but also with her depth of thought. Known for her poetic perspective and grounded spirit, Kavitta recently spoke about the meaning of gifts, luxury, and what truly holds value in life.

“On a lighter note, heartfelt gestures — even expensive gifts — are always welcome,” she laughs, before adding thoughtfully, “But on a serious note, I feel parents’ gifts are the most precious and priceless.”

Kavitta, who has carved her space in an industry that often celebrates glamour and perfection, shares a candid view of what it takes to stay real. “Yes, this industry can be a bit of a challenge. Looking good and appearing successful on the outside often becomes important because that’s your first impression,” she explains.

Yet, beneath the gloss and lights, Kavitta remains deeply connected to her inner self. “I feel being alive and in touch with your inner world keeps you grounded,” she says. “Everything has its space, but not everyone understands the meaning of emotional exchange. The world today is quite materialistic.”

She beautifully sums up her philosophy with a reflective note: “When you’re aware that all the materialistic things you have will stay behind once you’re gone, you realise that only good memories and genuine connections go with you. That awareness keeps you from wavering.”

For Kavitta Verma, luxury may have its place, but it’s love, gratitude, and emotional authenticity that truly enrich her world.
