The recognition marks a significant milestone in his 18-year creative journey. Kashyap expressed deep gratitude to his long-time collaborator and friend Jayanta Kakati, proprietor of Trinav Entertainment, for supporting the vision that led to this achievement. The award was presented in the esteemed presence of Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Biswajit Daimary, Vidyasagar, and Naba Thakuria, adding further significance to the moment. Kashyap extended appreciation to his writer Pranab Baruah and the entire team behind Muga—including actors Achinta, Upasana, Mayukh, and Anabil. He also acknowledged the technical crew: Nagen Baishya (Director of Photography), Gautam (Associate Editor), Gobinda (Colorist), Jyoti Chetia (Sound Designer), and Biswa (Makeup). He credited each member for their contribution in shaping the film. The honour holds special meaning for Kashyap as Muga is a project he both edited and directed. Although he has previously received recognition as a director, this award marks his first official accolade for editing, the craft that began his career.
