‘Competition Pushes You Forward,’ Says Siya Ke Ram Actor Danish Akhtar

Siya Ke Ram actor Danish Akhtar, who has also appeared in shows such as Jai Maa Vaishnodevi, Santoshi Maa, Kakbhushundi Ramayan, and Shanidev, believes that while life is uncertain, the key is to stay grounded in the present moment. Rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, he focuses on consistently working toward his goals, regardless of circumstances.

According to the actor, people often misunderstand the idea of living in the present. “Life is extremely unpredictable, and although we talk about mindfulness, many of us end up postponing our goals and peace of mind,” he shared. “For some, delays are unavoidable due to responsibilities or compulsions, which is understandable. But postponing things out of laziness can be damaging.”

Danish emphasized the importance of continuous effort. “You must keep moving toward your goals. Even if you take just one step instead of four, progress matters. Stay focused on your destination and ignore distractions or unnecessary opinions. There are moments when slowing down or pausing is necessary, and that’s completely fine. Rest is important, but giving up is never an option.”

For Danish, personal time revolves around prioritizing health. He feels that people often neglect their well-being despite knowing its importance. “Everyone needs ‘me-time,’ especially for health, which we tend to ignore. We all have time, but many choose to delay it. Health should never be postponed. Whether it’s yoga or working out, dedicating 30 minutes to an hour, three to five days a week, is essential.”

He also pointed out how priorities shape time management. “People always make time for what matters to them, yet excuses like ‘I didn’t have time’ are very common. Time is the same for everyone; it’s how we choose to use it. Making time for health and for staying connected with parents, family, and friends is absolutely necessary.”

Talking about balancing his routine, Danish admitted that time management isn’t easy, especially with television schedules. “Perfect time management is difficult, but I try my best. Sometimes, I reduce my sleep from eight hours to five or six so I can manage my health and other responsibilities. It’s challenging, particularly with long TV shoots.”

He further explained that shooting in locations like Naigaon often involves long commutes, which adds to the pressure. “Between gym, sleep, family, and work, it becomes tough. Still, I sincerely try to maintain balance—giving time to my family, myself, my health, and my professional commitments.”

Gratitude plays a major role in Danish’s outlook on life. Witnessing the struggles many people face for basic necessities has made him deeply thankful. “I am extremely grateful to God for everything I have—food, clothing, and all the blessings in my life.”

While he is content, he continues to strive for growth. “Being grateful doesn’t mean I stop working hard. I pray and put in effort to achieve more, but that doesn’t make me unhappy with what I have today. I carry gratitude and contentment while trusting God to give me what’s best for my future.”

Speaking about the entertainment industry, Danish acknowledged its competitive nature. “No matter how much we deny it, competition and rivalry exist, and they should. These elements push us to grow.”

He believes challenges are inevitable but necessary. “You will always face competition and obstacles, and you must be prepared. I focus on moving ahead, staying in the hustle, and working hard without neglecting my family or personal priorities. Managing both is how I move forward.”

Sharing a final thought, Danish advised against rushing life. “One shouldn’t feel pressured thinking time is running out. Career progress is ultimately in God’s hands. Our role is to work hard, push our limits, and stay consistent. I live by two simple principles—gratitude and patience. Be thankful for what you have and patient for what you want. If people follow this, they will find happiness and eventually achieve their goals.”
