Yesteryear’s Superstar Shashi Kapoor passed away at 79

Yesteryear’s Superstar Shashi Kapoor passed away at 5.35 pm on 4th December at Kokilaben Ambani Hodpital, Mumbai

 

Some real bad news for Bollywood lovers. Acting legend and theatre veteran Shashi Kapoor passed away some time back, He was 79.  He was admitted in Kokilaben Hospital and hospital CEO informed the news :

“Mr Shashi Kapoor expired at 5.20 pm on 4th December at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai—–. “(Kokilaben hospital CEO)

Shashi Kapoor had acted over 175 movies, in both Indian and international arena. The legend was admitted at the Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, yesterday reportedly for chest infection, where he breathed his last.
Shashi Kapoor was the youngest son of the late Prithviraj Kapoor, and the brother of screen legends Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor.  His most memorable roles were in movies like Deewar, Namak Halal, Heeralal Pannalal, Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila etc, he was also known acting in British and American films, notably Merchant Ivory productions, such as The Householder, Shakespeare Wallah, Bombay Talkie and Heat and Dust.
Shashi Kapoor will also be known for his love for theatre.

In fact he met his wife Jennifer Kendall through his theatre activities. Jennifer was a theatre actor and the daughter of Geoffrey Kendal who owned a travelling theatre company called Shakespearana.

His cremation is expected to  take place tomorrow in Oshiwara
