‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ would set a benchmark for other regional films: Prachi Tehlan
With interesting storylines and talented actors coming in front, Indian regional cinema saw an upsurge in the past decade. Among these, Pollywood has done considerably good in giving back to back hits and next in the line is Gippy Grewal starrer ‘Subedar Joginder Singh.
Prachi Tehlan -an acclaimed punjabi actress – who is in news these days for being nominated by Jio Filmfare awards as well as PTC Punjabi Film awards under the ‘best debut female’ category, feels that it is going to be one of its kinds and would definitely catch eyeballs. “The trailer has already been appreciated immensely by the audience. I am hopeful that ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ would actually be a blockbuster owing to its fantabulous cast and power packed performances. Moreover, I feel that the movie would set a benchmark for other regional films.”
‘Subedar Joginder Singh’, a movie based on the lives of military officers and their love towards the nation, also has Roshan Prince, Kulwinder Pilla and Aditi Sharma in pivotal roles.
Prachi, who started her career in Pollywood opposite Roshan Prince believes that a strong cast plays a significant role in uplifting a story. “I have worked with Roshan Prince and hence I am well aware of the talent he possesses. For a film to do well on the box office, not only the script but also the cast needs to be exceptionally well. Though everyone involved in this movie is known for his/her fabulous works, I have known Roshan quite better than others and hence I am sure his work would add different colours to the film. He is one of the most natural actors I have ever met or seen,” stated Prachi.
Prachi herself has been time and again appreciated for her performances in Punjabi movies. It’s not only the ease with which she gets under the skin of the character she plays but the quality to bond with others, thereby displaying stupendous chemistry onscreen.
